I was born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 23, 1981. Soon after that my family and I moved to Tampa, Florida. A couple years later my brother was born. We lived in an average home in East Tampa where my mom and dad did all they could to teach us the values of life. I learned that school was important and if I wanted to achieve my goals I had to make good grades. My younger years of school came easy and no major issues existed in my life. When I started high school, I was introduced to drugs. From that point on, my life went down hill. I ended up dropping out of school and life's important priorities didn't mean anything. My biggest priority became partying. I ended up putting myself into a hole and I couldn't get out. In 2002, I broke the law and was sentenced to what seemed to be a lengthy imprisonment. Seven months later I had to admit myself into a rehab facility. There I started to work on changing Jackie. I received my high school diploma and realized that I needed to take responsibility for my actions and my future. I completed my recovery program in 2003 and life started getting better. I made up my mind that I was going to be a productive member of society. I ended up enrolling into college and was prepared to take on the challenges of life. I enjoy what life has for me, good or bad, I'm staying positive and moving in the right direction.
